An Experimental Effort on Impact Properties of Polylactic Acid Samples Manufactured by Additive Manufacturing

Additive manufacturing (AM) has been highly popular in recent years and the number of scientific efforts on this useful way increased day by day. Up to now, majority studies accumulated physical mechanical properties three-dimensional (3D) printed specimens. In paper, impact additively manufactured polylactic acid (PLA) parts were addressed detail. All specimens fused deposition modeling (FDM). After manufacturing, hardness surface roughness measurements carried out probe effectiveness offered FDM technique. order detect features PLA specimens, Charpy v-notch tests conducted influence notch angle was examined. As for parameters, factor infill density altered its effects behaviors established. Furthermore, micro macro damage analyses performed elaboratively tested comprehend main mechanism deformation better.
